I’m trying not to fall into saying, “The medium is 
the message”—but that’s what he taught us. He 
taught us that we lived in a global village. Things 
that have become part of our language. Anyone 
that can enrich our language had an impact. And I 
find his ideas throughout the literature. People 
never refer to him, however. He’s just crept into 
people’s bones. That’s a real genius.
